Used To, and Still.

Back then, I always looked up on this one lady called Nana. She was my inspiration, my role model and still. Watching the CD all over again makes me want to blog. A spoonful of such fashion helps the feminism go down in me. Maybe that's why I always mesmerized this type of girl, like Nana. Basically, Nana is actually the story of two Nanas, sultry rocker Nana Osaki and bubbly Nana Komatsu, who is soon renamed as Hachi by Nana Osaki. Both girls share a name, an age and boyfriend trouble. Real troubles, I can say. Each girl got different personality. (Obviously contrast!) And of course, this movie is based on manga (like duuhhh). From lovestory to heartbreak, friendships,-- all in one movie. Real drama has kicked into gear and combines them with a rocking soundtrack and the creatively-designed characters that I can really root for, laugh and even cry with. This movie is much much better than the second one, Nana 2 and I swear it's true. :p

More than the usual friendship movie, this one may seems to give you people verges on transgender partnership, though it is too reductive to leave it at that. Nana seems to be designed as the man with hard smoking habit, tough talking with a masculine swagger, and she even built a table with her own bare hands (THAT'S HOT!!) and initiates a kiss with Hachi. However, Nana is not going all the way down the road of tomboy but slightly keeping herself with a feminine character. Another point to fall for her since I was in highschool. The relationship presented is slightly different from the norm, obviously Nana was trying to help Hachi out but sometimes its for Nana's own benefits. One of my favourite scene is when Hachi took her bed so long, justified sob of her unfaithful ex-boyfriend, and Nana doesn't bother offering any pointless advice but rather climbs into the blanket with Hachi and provides a comforting arm. Don't you think it's great to have Nana around? Eventhough Nana is full with ego and hard personality, but deep down inside, she's so fragile and completely lonely. She lost her grandma, the only relative she got and soon she broke up with her boyfie- Ren and started to has this dream; to be more successful than Ren in future but turned out, her love towards Ren conquered it all. Eventhough she seems strong enough to carry all the pain she had before, pretending like she feels no pain, but when she saw Ren at the concert, she got fucked up and blah blah blah Illy dah feeling lebih ni. Haha! Okay okay okay, I stop right here 'cuz surely I got you people yada-yada-yada in front of monitor reading this crap, right. Haha!! Sorry, this is what I get when insomnia attacked. Last time was Chun Li, now Nana. Me goshhh. Sumpah kau takda kerja lah, Illy. Well, for those who's interested, you can watch its Trailer. Enjoy (:
