French comics artist Jean Henri Gaston Giraud aka Mœbius (8 May 1938 – 10 March 2012) was one of the founders of Heavy Metal magazine and contributed designs to numerous science fiction and fantasy films, including Alien, Willow, Tron (1982), and The Fifth Element.
